Parent Testimonials

As parents, knowing your child is learning in a safe, caring environment provides comfort. It is a blessing to have my children here in love with the holy spirit.

Erica Graul

My husband and I wanted our children to have the best education possible. We wanted them to grow academically and socially, as well as ethically and morally. A faith-based environment was critical for us - St Teresa's offered the best of all possibilities for us.

Lee Ann and George Hollingsworth

We started here with preschool. Everyone there was wonderful and gave Lilyann such a wonderful start of understanding her faith. We decided to continue with St. Teresa of Avila so she could continue to grow both spiritually and academically. Lilyann would rather go to school than be home all day on the weekend. She constantly asks when school starts.

Leonard and Christine Lee

Through our 12 years as a family of St. Teresa's everyday our decision to have our children at this school is reinforced. We strive for the moral and spiritual education our children receive. It is a comfort that they are being taught the same lessons in spirituality that we teach at home. The sense of family and community at our school is unmatched.

David and Jamie Larkin

Excellent education, Catholic, small family feeling where everybody knows everybody. Easy communication between parents, teachers and administrators.

We wanted our daughter to enjoy a safe, supportive and academically challenging environment. A strong sense of community was also a requirement which St. Teresa accommodates in a wonderful way.

Greg Cain

We have two daughters 13 years apart. The first daughter attended public school in Winnemucca because there was no other option. The experience was far from being a desirable one. When our second daughter was born, we decided then that we would not repeat the public school route. When our second daughter was three, we relocated to Carson City so she can attend STTCS. Because of our first experience we knew how important the decision was to attend St T's. You only get one chance and we want the best chance possible.

I wanted them to get the best education I could afford. While I struggle financially to meet all of the additional obligations of being here as opposed to public school, the girls get all of the attention that might be needed if they are struggling. The teachers really want them to succeed and make the extra effort to help.

As a parent I want the best for my children. St. Teresa is what my child and every child deserves. I believe in what they do. St. Teresa has given my child the opportunity to be herself in an environment that encourages her to be the best. I encourage others to come. See and experience the opportunity to be part of something "GREAT".

Yaraseth and Edgar Anaya

We want to give our children the best opportunity to grow up and become the best they can be academically and socially with an emphasis on Catholic values. We know they will have the tools to excel far beyond an average expectation.

Linda Cross McFadden

We felt that the education was more of a priority and the school would help our children excel in education.

Tom and Laura Young

We decided to send our son to St. Teresa's because we wanted him to be in a school with better academics than public school and with smaller class sizes. I wanted kids with morals to surround him. I think it is really great that there is so much parental environment, and that we get to share in our child's education.

Angela and Jeff Thackston

We really felt that a Catholic education is important. The small class size and respectful teachers was also important. We hope to continue a Catholic education in the years to come.

Emily and Gregg Salaices

I have sent my three kids to St. T's primarily because it is a Catholic School. Over the years, I have come to appreciate the family atmosphere and the importance of the interrelationships between the younger and older students. The students at St. T's are different because they truly have concern for one another.
