After growing up in West Texas, I received a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a teaching credential from Texas Technological University. My first teaching job was teaching orchestra in Midland, Texas, where I stayed until I married and moved from the state.

While staying home with my three young daughters (who are now grown and away from home), I took further classes to obtain Math certification. Upon moving to Carson City in 1986, my family became associated with the parish and school and I began teaching at St. Teresa School in 1989.

I currently teach Middle School Math, 6th Grade Social Studies, and 8th Grade Religion and Writing. The dedication of the teachers, the support of the parents, the religious aspect of the school, and the wonderful students make me very happy in my work at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School.
